A guide to presenting a webinar on GogleBox.biz

Requirements

Basic minimum: Any JavaScript-enabled browser with a recent version of Adobe Flash Player running on any operating system.

In order to successfully present, you will need a microphone attached to your PC (standard, headset or built-in).

You will also need a webcam attached or you can download and install this Google plug-in to act as a dummy device.

Testing

Thirty minutes before your presentation, a Present link will appear next to your booking under Your Webinars on the main index page of GogleBox.biz. Please refresh the page at this time if you have the browser open while you wait.

You may use the Start (Test) button to test your presentation (see Presenting below).

When you are done testing, please press the Stop button.

NB: When in test mode, please be aware that if you advance through your slides then the slide number will be saved and will appear when you come to present in live, so please "rewind" when you're done testing.

Presenting

Please ensure that you have no other applications running that may have your camera or microphone "locked" for usage, like a webcam application or sound recorder.

When you click Start (Test) or Start (Live), the black "recorder" box below the control bar of buttons will prompt you for permission to capture your camera/microphone, please click the Allow button when the dialog appears.

If you pressed allow, you should see the counter on the bar at the bottom of the recorder start to tick every second. This means that your video/audio is streaming out successfully.

NB: Video is currently disabled for all presentations, so although you may see yourself in the recorder if you have a webcam enabled, this is not visible to viewers.

Live Mode

Repeat the steps indicated in the previous section Presenting above, but ensure to press Start (Live).

Please wait a few moments for this event to be processed by your viewers' browsers and then begin talking. Your audience will see your slides as you advance through them with a tiny delay due to the latency of internet connections and client-side processing.

Please press the Finish button when your presentation is over.
